The West Side chapter of Hatzoloh Volunteer Ambulance Corps was established in 1985 to provide emergency medical service and emergency ambulance transport for residents of Manhattan’s Upper West Side. The operative boundaries also include midtown Manhattan.
While established as a Jewish organization, supported by funds raised within the Jewish Community, and staffed by Orthodox Jewish Volunteers, West Side Hatzolah nevertheless takes its communal responsibilities seriously and has never withheld its help from anyone who has either called its emergency number or flagged down one of its emergency vehicles.
